7 Steps to Lead an Audacious Team

Being an Audaxity Team Captain isn’t just about leading a ride. It’s about supporting and inspiring your team audaciously every step of the way. Whether this is your first time captaining or you’ve done this before, these steps will help you rally your crew, fuel fundraising, and make ride day unforgettable.

1. Build a Team Page That Moves People

Your Team Page is your starting point, so make it stand out. Choose a bold team name, upload a photo, and share your why. A real, personal story about why you ride is one of the most powerful ways to inspire others to join and give. Not sure where to start? We’ve got prompts to help you find the words. Be sure to check out other registered Audaxity team pages for inspiration! Check out our helpful instructional videos for quick guidance on how to customize your page.

2. Put Your Page at Your Fingertips

Download the DonorDrive app, choose ‘Get Started’ and select Audaxity as your organization. With one tap, you can share your ride page, pull up your fundraising QR code, and invite others to join or donate on the spot. Fast. Easy. Effective. Need help getting started? Check out our Mobile App Overview Guide for details.

3. Grow the Team. Grow the Impact.

Invite everyone—friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors. Seasoned cyclists, casual riders, first-timers, and supporters cheering from the sidelines all belong here. The more people you bring in, the bigger the impact you can make.

4. Fundraise Like You Mean It

Set a team goal and make it fun to reach. Host a happy hour, trivia night, raffle, or food truck fundraisers with a local business. Use our fundraising toolkit to make planning simple, and let us know about your events so we can spotlight them on the event calendar.

5. Organize a Group Ride Before the Big Day

Group rides build confidence, connection, and camaraderie—especially for teammates who are new to riding in a group. We’re here to support you with pre-ride meetups, virtual Q&As, and resources so every rider feels confident and ready to roll.

6. Gear Up and Stand Out

Make a statement before the ride even begins! Custom jerseys or t-shirts help crank up the energy, build team pride, and make your crew impossible to miss on ride day.

7. Keep the Momentum Going

Keep your team on track and motivated! Check in early and often. Make sure everyone has set up their fundraising page. Celebrate progress with quick emails or shout-outs and keep the vibes high. Zoom check-ins are a great way to answer questions and make sure your team is locked in for ride day.
