Teams

What is a team?

We all have a reason to join the team to end cancer! Fundraisers come together as a team to ride and raise critical research dollars, often in honor or memory of someone special or to build camaraderie, wellness, and support of a mission. Teams can be made up of family members, friends, and colleagues, and can include riders of all distances, volunteers, and virtual fundraisers.

Fundraisers can choose to join the team as a rider, volunteer, or virtual fundraiser. In addition to the individual rider fundraising page, a team profile page allows your team to highlight your motivation for fundraising to end cancer.

The team captain can set a fundraising goal and inspire the team to work together to reach great heights!

How do I create a team?

You can create a team during the registration process. After creating a login, select your participation type and role, then choose “Create a Team.”

Team Captains can assign as many team members to the Co-Captain role as they would like. While Co-Captains have many of the same abilities, only Team Captains can edit the team roster (e.g., assigning roles or promoting members) and will receive team-related notifications.

What tools do you provide for Team Captains?

Team Captains are key to the success of Audaxity! Captains lead, galvanize, motivate and organize their team members, pushing them to create real impact through the funding of critical cancer research.

We offer Team Captains a variety of resources to help them succeed, from our online Team Resources, plus trainings and tutorials tailored to their needs.

Team Captains with questions are encouraged to meet one-on-one with the Audaxity crew for guidance. Email us to get your team going strong.

Can team fundraising funds be shared?

Yes! The team’s general funds may be shared among individual members who still require funds to reach their minimum fundraising commitment. Team funds are the perfect spot to deposit funds from group fundraisers.

An individual team member’s funds in excess of their minimum fundraising commitment may be transferred to another team member who still needs additional funds to reach their minimum.

A Team Captain must submit a request. All requests to share funds in either of these scenarios MUST be completed by the team captain at least one week before the fundraising deadline. Please talk to your team captain if you are interested in sharing funds.

Can I be a member of more than one team?
