When Milwaukee Rides, Cancer Research Breakthroughs Go Worldwide

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Cancer Center is part of a leading academic medical center pushing cancer research into a new era. Scientists here are driving breakthroughs in immuno-oncology, precision medicine, cancer genomics, early cancer detection, and cancer survivorship that are reshaping cancer care for patients and families across Milwaukee and Eastern Wisconsin.

Audaxity helps power this momentum. Support from the ride fuels the bold ideas and pilot studies that move the next wave of cancer breakthroughs from concept to reality for the communities we serve.

The MCW Cancer Center delivers this impact close to home. It offers more than 220 active cancer clinical trials for the region’s 3.4 million residents, the largest clinical trial portfolio in Wisconsin. More than 600 cancer researchers and clinical experts drive this work, ranking among the top 5 percent worldwide and publishing discoveries in the world’s leading scientific journals.

And while the science begins in Milwaukee, its reach extends everywhere. As a key collaborator within the National Cancer Institute (NCI) network, the MCW Cancer Center partners with 65 leading U.S. cancer centers to shape national research priorities and pioneer new therapies. Through multi-site clinical trials and global partnerships, MCW researchers help advance new immunotherapies, targeted cancer treatments, and early detection technologies that strengthen cancer care across the country and around the world.

Support for the MCW Cancer Center turns innovation into care for local patients and families. Breakthrough treatments reach people through Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Children’s Wisconsin, and the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, improving outcomes for more than 7,000 cancer cases each year. The Center’s distinction as one of only 32 National Clinical Trials Network Lead Academic Participating Sites expands access to high-impact trials across our region.

Every dollar raised through Audaxity accelerates this progress. Ride-supported funding helps scientists test new concepts, explore emerging technologies, and spark discoveries that push cancer research forward. Audaxity transforms community energy into scientific impact, fueling breakthroughs that start in Milwaukee, elevate care across Eastern Wisconsin, and ripple across the world.
